Slack is a cloud-based team collaboration tool. It brings all your communication together in one place by including real-time messaging, archiving and search for modern teams.
If you have a Slack account, you can now integrate your MoneyPenny account with it, so you can easily receive live updates about your business, such as:
– whenever staff members start/pause/stop work;
– whenever a client has opened your invoice/estimate email, has reviewed invoice/estimate in his MoneyPenny account or has added a note (comment) to invoice/estimate you’ve sent.
– whenever payments drop in and whether the payment is full, partial or with a cash discount.
To integrate MoneyPenny with Slack, just go to “Settings” -> “Preferences” -> “Slack Integration” block -> and click “Add to Slack”.
Next, choose which kind of notifications from MoneyPenny you would like to see in your Slack room and click “Connect to Slack”.
Pick “Slack room” for where you want this information to be shown and click “Authorize”.
After the successful integration, you can change the “Slack notifications” settings at any time by clicking “Manage” (“Settings” -> “Preferences” -> “Slack Integration” block).
If you wish to change some integration details, use the button “Update” and if you wish to delete integration, just click the “Remove” button:
Also, you can add as many integrations as you want by clicking “Add a webhook”. You are able to delete all integration with Slack via the “Remove integration” button:
Note: MoneyPenny also allows to integrate projects with Slack (use the “Update Project” page for this).
In this case, you will be able to view in the Slack room when staff members assigned to a project start/pause/stop working (timer) on their tasks. On every project that’s integrated with Slack, you can see the name of the Slack channel where that project’s activities are shown:
